Friendship Camper Program

Summer camp is a life-changing experience for kids and a powerful way to lead them to Jesus.

In our conference, each church has the opportunity to participate in the Friendship Camper partnership—a special grant designed to help non-Adventist youth from across Michigan attend a week of summer camp. This program provides a unique chance for churches to build meaningful connections with families, fostering relationships that can lead them to Christ and the Church.

FRIENDSHIP CAMPERS:  How it works…

Local churches play a vital role in identifying non-member youth who have connections to their congregation—whether they’ve attended VBS, have parents who have visited the church, are friends of youth in your church, or are children of missing members. You have the opportunity to invite them to camp!

Through the Friendship Campership program, your church contributes $140 per camper, while the conference covers the remaining $165. Many of you already participate in this program, and we encourage you to continue! For those who haven’t yet taken advantage of this opportunity, we urge you to share it with your church board and members. Each year, hundreds of kids give their lives to Jesus at summer camp—this is your chance to be part of that life-changing experience.

Important Dates:

  • Summer camp registration for the 2025 season opens on March 9, 2025.

  • The deadline to submit the completed Friendship Camper Packet is Sunday, June 1, 2025.

  • All forms and payments must be completed and mailed, postmarked by this date.

Spots are limited, and all camp sessions and classes are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t delay!

CAMPERSHIP:

We also offer assistance through our Campership Program, designed for Adventist families who deeply desire to send their children to camp but are facing significant financial or personal hardships. To be considered, a recommendation form must be completed by a church leader, the child’s teacher, or yourself.

While we want to ensure this support is used appropriately, our priority is making sure that no child misses out on camp due to financial difficulties.
